Kumbrabow State Forest  - My favorite option ! Approximately 11 miles from the Elk and right on the banks of a great brookie stream . They offer cabins (starting at $54 per night ) and campsites ($14 per night )  . The campground is my absolute favorite one in Wv .

Elkwater Fork Cabin - Beautiful secluded cabin/house 10 minutes from the river (less if you know the shortcut :) ...  Rates....................................$125 a night + 6% county hotel tax 2 night minimum, 7 night maximum
 Extra fee for pets.  Reasonable rate determined after discussion with owner.
